Teen Shot In The Face Overnight In Eastern Baltimore, Police Say

An investigation is underway after a teen was shot in the face in Baltimore on Tuesday evening, Jan. 16, police say.

Officers from the Eastern District were patrolling near Belair Road and Mayfield Avenue around 6:45 p.m. when they were approached by the victim, who stated that he had been shot on the 3200 block of Harwell Avenue.

According to investigators, the victim, 17, had suffered a gunshot wound to the face, police said. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is being led by Eastern District Shooting detectives with the Baltimore City Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to call 410-396-2433.
